Total Waste Management for gas plant

SANTOS GAS PLANT, TOTAL WASTE MANAGEMENT & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT – MOOMBA, AUSTRALIA

Santos is a leading oil and gas producer, supplying customers across Australasia. Santos’s Moomba facility accepts production from 115 gas fields and 28 oil fields containing 536 producing gas wells and 177 producing oil wells.
Santos required a comprehensive facilities maintenance and waste management service, focusing on sustainability and employee education. A key challenge for Santos was the introduction of a holistic staff engagement campaign specifically for recycling and waste management education and training.

Change Management. Minimal downtime. Safe management.
As a specialist waste management and resource recovery provider, Veolia was engaged, from 2012, to supply core services to Santos comprised of comprehensive facilities management focused on sustainability and employee education.
Through the delivery of Veolia’s Getting Wise About Waste program, the company delivered regular on-site training for both Santos personnel and their contractors. This has fuelled significant improvements in recycling levels and further enabled a reduction in waste contamination and residual waste disposal.
