Sorting and recycling

As a contributor to the circular economy, Veolia considers the recovery and recycling of materials as a priority. Veolia develops innovative technical solutions able to improve the identification, separation and preparation of materials to improve recovery levels.

Veolia is constantly improving its sorting technologies. Its High-Performance sorting centers can guarantee that over 50% of ordinary industrial waste is recovered. Its TSA2 process, for auto adaptive sequential sorting, deployed at many sites, can be used to boost the productivity and performance of sorting sectors. Thanks to this process, high quality secondary raw materials can be produced, meeting the industrial and economic priorities of companies.
Veolia's remote-controlled sorting process, its latest industrial innovation, can be used to enhance the precision of sorting processes for materials, achieving over 95% recovery. The remote-controlled sorting system is used after separating the material flows. Flows are filmed on their sorting belts at all times and the sorting quality control operator can eject an object using a touchscreen
Veolia has developed a unique process that recognizes and extracts all plastics from dismantled waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). It produces secondary raw materials with a purity level above 99%.
Using this major innovation, Veolia enables its industrial customers to develop closed-loop materials recycling.
