In December 2010, the Board of Directors appointed Antoine Frérot as Chairman & CEO.
2011
Refocusing the business
In March 2011, Veolia Environnement and La Caisse des Dépôts announced the creation of Veolia Transdev following the merger of Veolia Environnement subsidiaries Veolia Transport and Transdev.
In December 2011, Veolia Environnement presented its strategic plan and medium-term outlook. Both recommended refocusing the company's activities and business lines. Veolia Environnement therefore announced it would gradually divest transportation activities.
2012
Pursuing the strategic plan
On March 16, 2012, Antoine Frérot, Chairman & CEO of Veolia Environnement, announced a series of decisions approved by the Board of Directors. These measures, which took effect immediately, aimed to expedite implementation of the strategic plan.
