Veolia Transport signs operating contract for Line 1 of the Mumbai metro
Veolia Transport India has signed a five-year contract to prepare the commissioning and operation of the future Line 1 of the Mumbai metro. The client is the concession-granting company with responsibility for the project.
Veolia Environnement, via the combination of its subsidiaries Soval and Dalkia, has been awarded the public service delegation contract for the operation of the thermal complex of Hauts de Garonne. This 12-year contract corresponds with a cumulative turnover of roughly 180 million Euros for Veolia Environnement. It will be effective as of 1st January 2009.

Signature of a framework agreement on accident prevention and health & safety
Henri Proglio, Chairman and CEO of Veolia Environnement, and all the trade union organizations of the company’s French Works Council signed a framework agreement on accident prevention and health & safety on December 9.
