Veolia Environnement will take part in the Convergences 2015 Forum, September 19-21, 2012.
Convergences 2015 is the first think tank in Europe dedicated to fostering new synergies between public-sector, private-sector and aid association stakeholders, to work toward the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and alleviate poverty and privation in developed and emerging countries.
Recognized as a major contributor to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, Veolia Environnement helped create content for the forum throughout 2011-2012. To move the discussion forward, we presented our position, flexibilities, commitment to social responsibility and expertise, plus concrete examples from outsourcing contracts all over the world.
This year, Veolia Environnement will be represented by our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Antoine Frérot, who will speak alongside various well-known figures such as the French Health & Social Affairs minister, Marisol Touraine, European Union commissioners Kristalina Goergieva and Michel Barnier, former French ministers Alain Juppé and Michel Rocard, and Nicolas Hulot.
We will also present our involvement in the Veolia Water contract in Nagpur, India, which aims to connect nearly a million slum dwellers to the water supply network and facilitate a discussion on how to finance access to services.
