In 2006, Veolia Environmental Services, the global benchmark for waste management and resource recovery, built a biogas power plant in Germany designed to run on bio-waste.
Our aim: to heat a stadium next to the plant thanks to the methane contained in the bio-waste, saving around 5,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year. This is a significant contribution to protecting the environment.
