Clean buses

Veolia Environnement has modified many buses in our fleet to keep their pollutant emissions below the levels mandated by current European standards.
Over the 2001-2005 period, Veolia Transport cut its emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), unburned hydrocarbons and particles by 15 to 20%.

Research objectives

Veolia Environnement R&D is experimenting with and improving solutions to limit the pollutant emissions of the vehicles we use.
R&D efforts focus mainly on two areas:

  • Improving the existing fleet's environmental performances.
  • Studying the new fuels available on the market and new, more environmentally efficient energies.
