Veolia Environmental Services makes sensitive his staff in the environmental challenges

In order to mark the occasion of the World Environment Day (June 5), Veolia Environmental Services' Technical Scientific and Sustainable Development Department has created an International Environmental Awareness toolbox.

The tools, listed below, are intended to help increase the focus of employees on environmental issues and behavior:

  • A VES multilingual personal carbon footprint calculator that will help employees to become aware of their daily carbon impact and to identify ways to reduce it.
  • Three different posters that focus on different environmental subjects and behavior such as eco-driving, spills, ecofriendly products.
  • A quiz that helps increase environmental awareness.

Of course, these tools will continue to be used in awareness programs after the World Environment Day.

A carbon footprint tool for all

In order to mark the occasion of the World Environment Day, Veolia Environmental Services' Technical, Scientific and Sustainable Development Department has developed a carbon footprint tool for the group's employees.

Very simple and user-friendly, this calculator can help each employee to become aware of his daily carbon impact. It entails both a "private life" and a "business life" section and takes into account emissions related to transport, heating, electricity, hotel stays etc. It also contains background information about climate change and greenhouse gas as well as various tips to efficiently reduce ones emissions.

The calculator can be used regularly by all employees in order to follow their efforts and improvements!
