With 180 research and field developers conducting more than 60 research programs a year, the topics covered are diverse.
- Waste management: collection & sorting, landfilling, thermal, physical-chemical and biological treatments, wastewater, materials and fuel recycling/recovery.
- Energy: energy services and industrial utility management.
- Some projects, notably CO2 capture and recycling and solid fuel recovery, are developed jointly by researchers in different research centers.
The Research Center's goals in its fields are to drive technological advances and protect public health and the environment while promoting sustainable development.
