Resource Recovery

Our resource recovery facility allows us to manage the region's waste in a more environmentally sustainable manner which has provided a number of benefits to the region including:

• The recovery of steel, which is sold into the recycling industry, reducing the use of energy and virgin materials to product new steel

Accepted waste types:

• Garden vegetation
• Lead acid batteries
• Non putrescible
• Tyres
• Wood waste

Site is open to the public for inert waste delivery.

Newline Road Engineered Landfill - smart cells®

The Newline Road Landfill is located in Raymond Terrace, NSW and accepts dry waste from commercial customers and local councils.

It is licensed (under Environment Protection Licence 7628) and has the operational capacity to accept up to 200,000 tonnes of waste each year.

The highly-engineered landfill is designed to provide all-weather access to a range of vehicles, from small trucks to heavy vehicles making bulk deliveries of waste.

• Asbestos - Asbestos is only accepted between the hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday  
• Non putrescible
• Virgin Excavated Natural Material

Environment and Safety

At Veolia we take our responsibility to the safety of people and the environment seriously.
All visitors to Veolia facilities must observe site safety requirements, including wearing enclosed footwear at all times.

Veolia Environment Report Hotline

Veolia has a dedicated Environment Report Hotline for anyone living, or working, near one of our facilities in New South Wales and Victoria.

The hotline has been set up to receive feedback on environmental matters which are sometimes associated with recycling and waste management facilities – like odours, noise, dust and mud tracking.

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your call will always be answered by a real person - not just an automated message - who will enter your feedback and forward it immediately to the staff at the facility. This allows us to take immediate action to determine the cause of any concerns you may have, and gives us the best chance of rectifying the situation quickly.
A Veolia employee will endeavour to contact you within 24 hours with feedback on your report.
