Veolia operates the retail water and wastewater infrastructure in Papakura under a Franchise Agreement with Watercare Services.
Every day Veolia brings its global expertise and more than 160 years of experience to safeguard public health and protect the environment for more than 620 000 New Zealanders. We do this through the efficient operation and maintenance of more than 350 water and wastewater facilities, including 33 water treatment plants and 29 wastewater treatment plants.
We deploy smart asset solutions to manage 5400 km of underground assets - carrying out inspections, monitoring performance data and managing terabytes of data to target
interventions so that we can keep the drains flowing, avoid sewer overflows, and ensure every ratepayer dollar is spent where it will have the most significant impact.
Our extensive local, national and global expertise ensures we can connect the right solution to any challenge. Veolia is responsible for the provision of water and wastewater services to the Papakura Community. This includes:
- Meter reading, billing and collection of revenue
- Customer services
- Operations and maintenance of the water supply and wastewater collection systems
- Planning, design and construction of new infrastructure.

Veolia also provides 24-hour emergency service for major water and wastewater service failures.

Papakura Customer Portal
To better serve our customer's needs Veolia New Zealand is launching a new customer portal that will allow our customer to better manage their accounts online from digital invoicing to updating their account details all at their fingertips.
