Dalkia Becomes Veolia's Energy Services Business

Following an agreed settlement between its former shareholders, EdF and Veolia, Dalkia Australia and New Zealand is now a wholly owned part of the Veolia Group, and will transition to the Veolia brand. This change represents the full business integration of Dalkia operations into the Veolia Australian and New Zealand business.

In July 2014, an agreement between Dalkia’s two shareholders, EDF and Veolia Environnement, was finalised that will allow the integration of Dalkia International subsidiaries, including Dalkia Australia and New Zealand, solely into the Veolia Group. The agreement represents a significant and positive development that will strengthen and leverage the company’s value proposition in energy and environmental efficiency worldwide.

Stewart A. Wood, President and CEO of Dalkia Australia and New Zealand, and now Managing Director, Energy and Executive Director of Veolia Australia and New Zealand said:

"With the integration of Dalkia into the Veolia Group, customers, partners and the industry benefit from the greater span of environmental offerings. Coming together as one Veolia, preserving our customers' water, energy and raw material resources, means helping them develop more cost-effective, sustainable processes through solutions that reduce their consumption and environmental impact."

The Dalkia brand will slowly be retired throughout the rest of this year, and its activities recognized as the energy services business of Veolia going forward. The company’s dedicated focus to safety, customer satisfaction, the commitment to the delivery and quality of services, as well as the need for efficiency in everything we do, will continue to be utmost priority.

Under the single Veolia brand, the energy services business will continue to integrate the most advanced energy solutions, including district energy networks, production of industrial utilities and building energy services, which includes all the company’s existing products and services.
