Speakers at the opening plenary –including Veolia’s Laurent Auguste, Senior Executive Vice President, Development, Innovation and Markets– introduced the Summit’s three themes:

- Digital solutions that are revolutionizing water sector engineering;
- New financing modes designed to help reach sustainable development objectives;
- Public services and industrials working together to invent new shared and multi-use infrastructure models.

During the CEO Forum, Jean-François Nogrette –CEO of Veolia Water Technologies– presented how the water sector can take full advantage of Cloud-based digital applications.  
The new “digital water plant” creates added value for clients: it reinforces confidence in water quality and optimises facility performance. It also offers users more flexibility.

> Secure information can be accessed in real-time from any device, *“renewing the pact of trust with our clients,”* declared **Jean-François Nogrette**. *“Thanks to reliable information, available in real-time on secure platforms, our clients are more confident in the quality of the water. For example, in Denmark, Bluekolding, who transforms waste water into a resource, has chosen Veolia’s Aquavista digital solution to optimize energy production in the form of biogas.”*
