**♦ In Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur**, the [Cannes ](http://www.cannes.com/en/index.html)Pays de Lérins authority has entrusted Veolia with a 10-year contract to manage the wastewater service, which includes a wastewater treatment plant and 526 km of network. In this popular tourism area, during the summer the population goes from 158,000 to over 3 million temporary residents.
The innovative "Hypervision 360" remote control system analyses data in real time to better manage the network and prevent risks: it uses state-of-the-art cameras capable of providing real-time diagnostics, drones to inspect pipelines, sensors to monitor network status, and precipitation prediction tools. This contract will start on 1 January 2019.

**♦ In Bretagne**, [Greater Dinan](http://www.dinan-agglomeration.fr/) (25 municipalities) chose Veolia to lead the drinking water service for 7 years in a public-private partnership. By the end of the contract, the improvement works will have reduced the service’s energy consumption by 7%.
Just like the Cannes area, Greater Dinan will benefit from the innovative remote control service "Hypervision 360". Relations with consumers will be digitalized and more targeted.

**♦ In the Lyon en Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes**, the collective wastewater service in [Givors](http://www.givors.fr/) has been entrusted to Veolia for a period of 6 years. Specific solutions are planned to limit the environmental impact of water, sludge, energy, odours and noise.

**♦ In Normandy**, the [Côte de Nacre](https://www.calvados-tourisme.co.uk/en/discover/) authority covering 8 municipalities has, with a shared governance approach, entrusted Veolia with its wastewater service including a 170 km network, 8 buffer reservoirs, 34 pumping stations and a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 97,000 population equivalents. The contract makes provision for the protection of bathing water with improved supervision of the wastewater system in summer, the use of "Cogenair" photovoltaic-thermal process for composting, and the introduction of a “social” tariff.
