The DJSI distinguish companies with best-in-class sustainability performance.** ![Dow jones sustainability indices S&P global CSA](/sites/g/files/dvc4206/files/styles/default/public/image/2023/12/Dow-jones-sustainability-indice-S%26P-global-CSA.png.webp?itok=stqu3ebC) **Veolia ranks joint 1st among the 74 companies in the Multi and Water Utilities industry, with a CSA1 score of 82/1002.** Recognition of Veolia's leadership is based on the S&P Global analysis of 26 environmental, social and governance themes. It highlights Veolia’s ongoing commitments in these areas, commitments rooted in its [purpose,](/en/our-purpose/our-purpose "The long version of our purpose") and defined in its [Impact 2023 strategic program](/en/veolia-group/our-strategy-impact-2020-2023) in the form of Veolia’s [multifaceted performance](/en/purpose/our-multifaceted-performance) targets. ![S&P Global 2023](/sites/g/files/dvc4206/files/styles/default/public/image/2023/12/SPS-global-CSA.png.webp?itok=loDVLQkv) S&P Global assesses companies in 62 industries, analyzing more than 1,000 indicators, and selects the best-in-class in terms of CSR performance. Only 10% of the 2,500 largest companies in the S&P Global Broad Market IndexSM are selected for the DJSI World index, and 20% of the 600 largest European companies in the S&P Global Broad Market IndexSM are selected for the Europe index.
