With their projects in Benin, Nepal and France, three student associations received the Veolia Foundation Student Solidarity Award on June 9. Each winning project will receive not only financial support, but also the support of a Veolia sponsor in order to bring their project to fruition. For this 14th edition, 106 associations from 14 different countries responded to the call.

The Student Solidarity Award was created in 2008 in collaboration with the Veolia Foundation, to encourage and support students who have projects of general interest. The award ceremony took place at Veolia's headquarters in Aubervilliers in the presence of the Group's CEO, **Antoine Frérot**:

"I congratulate the students who engage in outreach actions. As part of Veolia's purpose, solidarity plays an important role, because companies cannot be prosperous for long in a world that is not. This is why Veolia encourages and supports all those who engage in outreach actions, even outside the Group".

"With this Student Solidarity Award, Veolia supports the enthusiasm of young people who want to be useful. Your ideas for the future are valuable and it's up to the older generations to give you that push that will enable you to implement them."
