### AI-Powered leak detection

[**Hubgrade**™](/en/solutions/hubgrade-digital-solutions-ecological-transformation-cities-and-industries "Hubgrade: digital and AI solutions that accelerate the ecological transformation of cities and industries"), a network analysis and AI-based [leak identification](/en/planetlive/detecting-water-leaks-reduce-potable-water-loss "Detecting water leaks to reduce potable water loss") solution, has increased water network performance by 2.5% per year, as demonstrated in Morocco.

### Membrane maintenance optimization

Using an AI and machine learning system to analyze data in real time, Veolia has been able to **maximize productivity** (10–30%) and **reduce energy consumption** (2–10%), as at the Sur [desalination](/en/solutions/seawater-desalination "Seawater desalination") plant in Sharqiyah, Oman.
