It was attended by a large number of the company's employees in addition to the many employees of the Industrial companies in Sohar Industrial Port Area. The blood donation campaign was part of the social responsibility efforts pursued by Majis to achieve more constructive communication with the community.
Commenting on this humanitarian initiative, Chief Executive Officer of Majis Industrial Services Eng. Rahma Al Musharafi said “Blood donation is a good initiative from the company aimed at supporting the efforts to save the lives of others.” Eng. Rahma added that the campaign was part of Majis’ long-term vision and strategy based on community support, and also a consolidation of a culture of volunteerism among employees and workers in the area. Drives like this encourage them to contribute to building a healthy society, effectively reducing the suffering of others. She expressed thanks to all those individuals and industrial companies located in Sohar Industrial Port Area who contributed to the success of the campaign.
Ms. Fatima Fathi, in charge of the Blood Bank in Sohar Hospital said, “The blood donation campaign organized by Majis Industrial Services collaborating with Sohar Port/Free Zone and Veolia was a great success. In all more than 90 units of blood were donated. This will help save the lives of so many people who need blood as a result of accidents or surgery. Such campaigns play an important role in achieving a sufficient stock of blood in the governorates of North Al Batinah.”
Majis Industrial Services organized closing ceremony of the blood donation campaign under the auspices of HE Sheikh Said Bin Humaid Al Harthy, the Wali of Liwa. He thanked all employees of the company and also all the industrial companies for their contribution and participation and making the campaign a big success. He extended special thanks to the main sponsors Majis Industrial Services, Sohar Port/Free Zone and Veolia for their humanitarian project.
