The SEEN supports the Niger government in the success of the national celebrations in Tahoua Sakola.

Every year, the President of the Republic of Niger moves the festivities celebrating the proclamation of the Republic on 18 December to a different region of the country. As a key actor and major sponsor of these events, for the first time the SEEN held its annual board meeting in the region.

The Tahoua region Operations hosted the board meeting on 17 December. Mr. François BERTREAU Chief Operating Officer for the Veolia Group made a special trip to be there.

To mark the occasion the SEEN decided to support the waste collection project developed for the whole of the city of Tahoua (more than 800,000 inhabitants).

The SEEN also organized a special "Drinking Water Caravan" during the festivities, which crisscrossed the city for 3 days to make people aware of good drinking water practices and conservation.

Finally, the Veolia and SEEN delegation was invited to the official grandstand for the parade on 18 December 2017 alongside His Excellency Mr. Mahamadou Issoufou and 5 of the region’s heads of state.
