World Water Day 2018

For the 2018 World Water Day edition, countries of Veolia Africa zone focused on a common goal: Preserving and renewing natural resources.

Using our digital tools, we have largely communicated on this year’s WWD theme: “Water, the answer is in nature”. We believe that what nature knows how to do with time, Veolia achieves it with its expertise every day.

This awareness-raising work on the protection of our natural resources is a daily topic, especially where resources are becoming scarce in parts of Africa.

This is why the SEEN regularly organizes awareness campaigns for children, for instance at Yantala Bas School in Niamey → (https://bit.ly/2It8AC0).

Amendis also regularly publishes water saving tips on their website and social networks to reach as many people as possible → (https://bit.ly/2GWqIY0).

Educational programs are also set up within local associations, this being the case of Redal through the program "Classes Ecol'eau" where the students themselves raise awareness among the customers on the importance and need to preserve water and using it wisely through an exhibition of artistic works → (https://bit.ly/2uwEuLU).

Finally, digital tools are deployed to educate customers about eco-gestures. It  is the case for Redal, who launches SMS consumer control campaigns by inviting daily adoption of Eco-gestures practices for rational and responsible consumption → (https://bit.ly/2Ej7GW9)
