Since 2004 the Veolia Foundation has supported projects worldwide that work for the common good and have a degree of connection with Veolia’s activities. Its work focuses on three areas:
- humanitarian emergencies and development assistance
- promoting transition into work and social ties
- protecting the environment and biodiversity.
The Foundation’s work is underpinned by considerable engagement on the part of Veolia employees, as volunteers or sponsors. The Foundation seeks to create quality partnerships and encourages the emergence of new, efficient and replicable models.
Each year the Foundation chooses a number of projects it will support over the medium or long term. These projects are run by partners that have been identified beforehand and are sponsored by the women and men of Veolia.
Since it was first set up the Foundation has supported more than 1,450 projects, and Veolia employees have delivered 200 skills sponsorship missions in the field.
