InVivo and Veolia join forces to develop the circular economy in agriculture

Veolia and InVivo, the number one French agricultural cooperative, signed a partnership in July 2018 to develop the circular economy in agriculture. The three-year agreement covers cooperation in four main areas: water resource management, reuse of treated wastewater for irrigation, urban agriculture and digital solutions.

The first collaborative project to spring from this agreement will be a project to irrigate vineyards with treated wastewater. Veolia and InVivo have also been working together for the past three years on diagnosing the risks of agricultural pollution and implementing action plans in several drinking water catchment areas in northern France.

This agreement contributes to the development of a different, cleaner economy that uses fewer natural resources, founded on the ideas of the circular economy and using innovative initiatives to answer the social and environmental concerns of farmers and citizens alike.
