Veolia partners with the Livelihoods Fund for Family Farming (L3F)

Veolia has partnered with the Livelihoods Fund for Family Farming (L3F) since January 2016. Created in February 2015 by Danone and Mars, the fund invests to encourage sustainable agriculture practices in Africa, Asia and Latin America, with the aim of combating environmental damage, poverty and climate change. By developing circular economy solutions, Veolia helps smallholder farmers become more resilient to global warming. As part of this partnership, Veolia is participating in a collective project in Aguascalientes, Mexico, that seeks to limit the risk of water shortages driven by growing demand from the city, industry and local farming. Veolia, The Nature Conservancy, Danone and L3F are working together to look into the possibility of setting up an innovative mechanism to protect river basins (the area of land drained by a river and its tributaries).
