In 2016, Veolia signed a partnership with the Elles bougent initiative in France with the goal of introducing young women to engineering and technical professions and promoting talent diversity. The partnership resulted in Veolia employees taking part in several national events organized by Elles bougent, as well as a Diversity Run and a morning of encounters and discussions at the Veolia head office focusing on the issue of increasing the proportion of women in operational activities. The Group also took part in the Girls on the move event in 2018: women employees from 24 Veolia business units on four continents spent the week of March 8 meeting 1,000 female high school and university students. They told the students about their work at Veolia, gave them advice on overcoming stereotypes and encouraged them to make ambitious career choices.
