Appointment at the head of Veolia’s Africa & Middle East zone

Christophe Maquet is appointed Director of Veolia’s Africa & Middle East Zone as of January 1, 2019, replacing Patrice Fonlladosa, who is leaving the company. Reporting to Estelle Brachlianoff, Chief Operations Officer, Christophe Maquet is joining Veolia's Management Committee.

Born in 1978, a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées, Christophe Maquet joined Veolia in 2004 and began his career as financial controller of the Group's Energy activities. In 2007, he joined Veolia's teams in the Middle East, where he was successively CFO for the Energy business, Energy Business Development Director and CEO Energy Utilities. He continued his career in Asia in 2013, first as Director District Cooling and Industrial Utilities Asia and Middle East, then as Energy Director for Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong. Christophe Maquet was since 2017 Executive Vice President Industrial Water, Energy and Waste for Veolia in Japan.
