- Revenue was €6,270 million, with growth of 4.5% compared to the first quarter of 2016. The increase in revenue was particularly satisfactory in Europe (up 7.2%), with remarkable increases in the United Kingdom (up 6.1%), Central Europe (up 9%) and Germany (up 11.1%). In the rest of the world, revenue rose sharply (up 11.8%), particularly in Asia (up 18%) and Latin America (up 27%).
- EBITDA increased by 0.9% to reach €863 million. This is due in particular to the restart of revenue growth and cost reductions of €63 million, in line with the objectives set for 2017.
- Current EBIT was €431 million, up 6.1%.
- Current net income – Group share was €155 million, an increase of 3.7%.
These satisfactory results confirm the Group's outlook for the full year.
