To maintain and strengthen its competitive position in a constantly evolving market, Veolia has realized more than 800 million euros in gross savings over the 2012-2016 period and is targeting savings of 600 million euros by 2018. The new efficiency plan focuses on three major areas for improvement:
A more efficient purchasing policy
This target includes rationalizing subcontracting and energy and chemicals purchases.
Better control of overheads
For example, the creation of a single head office in Aubervilliers and the reduction of information system costs should enable Veolia to significantly reduce its structural costs.
Improved operational performance
By working for example on the performance of drinking water networks, on optimizing sludge management, and on energy efficiency in its installations, Veolia is continuing its actions aimed at improving its operational performance.Top↑
