Veolia and a global leader in diabetes care have partnered to transform medical waste into resources by recycling disposable insulin pens into plastic pellets.

An Innovative Pilot Project

This circular program, launched in three pilot zones, involves 45 partner pharmacies to collect used pens. These pens are recycled at Veolia's Planic plant in Japan, one of the country's largest producers of recycled plastics.
