Industries face major operational and environmental challenges in increasing their competitiveness and improving the efficiency of their production processes. Veolia Industries Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Veolia specializing in services for industry, meets their day to day requirements in terms of quality of service, responsiveness and deadlines in order to raise their technical, environmental and economic performance. Veolia Industries Global Solutions’ major advantage is its ability to support them globally, duplicate best practices and standards and share the same innovations whatever their location.
An industrial utility is an energy vector or flow used on several production lines. It may be heat or cold, steam or electricity. Producing, distributing and consuming utilities in situ is an integral part of any industrial process. Operating and maintaining the equipment producing these utilities is therefore essential in our customers’ competitiveness.
Veolia Industries Global Solutions delivers customized integrated utility management (IUM) Solutions, thereby increasing the sustainability of managed sites and creating value by continuously improving operational performance.

They chose this solution
Renault and Veolia have built the first zero-emission, zero-discharge car production plant. The site’s thermal energy consumption is down 35%, and the use of renewable energies has increased. A water recirculation loop has reduced the site's water consumption by 70% (equivalent to 175 Olympic swimming pools per year).
Europe, BMS - EN
In 2010, Veolia became the sole partner of biopharmaceutical giant BMS for which it combines technical services and services at 11 production sites in Europe. The scope of services provided by Veolia is extremely wide: utilities and water cycle management, multitechnical maintenance, cleaning, outdoor space management, laboratory support activities and the provision of a number of services for building occupants, including cleaning, reception and catering.
Europe, Novartis - EN
Since 2001, Veolia has supported Novartis’ operational, economic and environmental performance on its Basel industrial platform - a global showcase for the pharmaceutical giant. Veolia is responsible for and optimizes the water cycle management (drinking water, ultra-pure water, industrial water, and demineralized water) and energy flow management (electricity, steam, superheated water, compressed air, cooling water) on all the Basel sites, as well as delivering waste collection and treatment, including recycling special waste. In 2014, the partnership between Veolia and Novartis was extended to include all the pharmaceutical group’s European site.
