Veolia ranked 2nd in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for the Multi and Water Utilities sector

Veolia was selected, for the 5th consecutive year, in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) which distinguish the best performing companies in terms of sustainable development. The Group retains the 2nd place among the 34 companies in the Multi and Water Utilities sector, with a score of 82/100.

This recognition of Veolia's leadership is awarded after the analysis of 28 environmental, social and governance themes. It reinforces the Group's ongoing commitment to these subjects, a commitment specified in its corporate purpose, and detailed in the Impact 2023 strategic program through the objectives of the Group’s multifaceted performance.

The DJSI selects companies in 61 sectors, analysing more than 1,000 indicators, and distinguishes the best-in-class in terms of CSR. Only 10% of the world's largest companies are selected in each sector for the World index and 20% for the Europe index: 4 companies of Multi and Water Utilities have been selected in 2021 in the DJSI World and 3 in the DJSI Europe.

The DJSI Indices are published by S&P Dow Jones Indices based on the “Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)” analysis produced by S&P Global. In 2021, more than 10,000 companies were invited to participate in the assessment.
