By partnering with the private sector, the French government formalizes the relationship which have existed for several years, it can benefit from the equipment and expertise provided by companies, whose contribution has become an important part of humanitarian aid.
Other signatories to the partnership: the Foundations of EDF, Terre Plurielle (Bouygues Construction), Airbus Helicoptères, Nutriset (world leader in the prevention of malnutrition) and Lafarge.
In Kurdistan, for example, France has airlifted nearly 20 tons of humanitarian aid materials for the storage and distribution of drinking water (water tanks, distribution equipment, etc.), of which 12 5 tonnes were supplied by Veolia. This equipment will provide drinking water to 50,000 people.
