Hunter Water has awarded Veolia with its largest ever operations contract

Veolia will manage 25 water production and treatment plants in the Hunter area of New South Wales, Australia.

The contract, for a total a 193 million Euros, is the largest ever awarded by one of the biggest Australian state-owned water utility.

It is the first time it has awarded the operation and maintenance of its facilities to a private operator, for an 8-year period. 

More than half a million people will have access to cost effective drinking water.
