In Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel (Netherlands), the international flexible packaging producer and distributor LC Packaging and Veolia signed yesterday a strategic partnership aimed at minimising residual waste streams related to flexible packaging on a global scale.

On the occasion of Produrable, a European meeting of actors and solutions for the sustainable economy held yesterday in Paris, Antoine Frérot - CEO of Veolia and President of the Institut de l’entreprise – talked about what having a “raison d'être” can bring to a business. His contribution was in the framework of a conference alongside Olivia Grégoire, president of the special commission charged with examining the PACTE bill in France’s National Assembly.
Since tropical cyclone Idai hit the coastal city of Beira in Mozambique on 14 March, the country has faced an unprecedented emergency. France’s Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs asked the Veolia Foundation to send a humanitarian emergency mission into the field alongside its partners Médecins Sans Frontières, the French Red Cross and Solidarités International.
