Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are core principles that drive our business and our mission of Ecological Transformation.
At Veolia Australia and New Zealand, we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. When building our teams, we embrace different perspectives so that we can create an environment where individuals feel a deep sense of connection, enabling them to thrive and grow.
When you join Veolia, you’ll be part of an inclusive environment where you can cultivate personal growth, with equal and fair access to opportunities.
Our commitments to you
We are committed to building a diverse team that represents a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We actively seek to hire and promote individuals from underrepresented groups.
We strive to create an environment where all employees have equal access to opportunities, resources, and support to thrive and contribute to our mission. We regularly assess our policies and procedures to eliminate bias and ensure fairness.
At Veolia, we celebrate differences and foster a culture of inclusion where every employee feels valued, heard, and empowered to be their best self. We promote open dialogue and active listening to create a sense of belonging for all.
Diversity in Hiring and Development
Our inclusive hiring practices prioritise diversity and promote equity at every stage of the recruitment process. We provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure our employees have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Our Diversity and Inclusion Council and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are part of our strategic priority to drive diversity and inclusion goals. These groups connect team members who share common backgrounds or interests and are passionate about diversity and inclusion.

Education and Awareness
We offer DEI training and workshops to enhance awareness and understanding among our employees. We also promote ecological and sustainability education, ensuring our team understands the intersectionality of environmental issues and social justice.
We actively engage with and support organisations and initiatives that align with our DEI and ecological goals. We encourage our employees to participate in volunteer and community outreach programs to make a positive impact beyond our workplace.
We are committed to transparency and accountability in our DEI efforts. We regularly measure and report on our progress, identifying areas for improvement, and adapting our strategies to ensure we are continuously advancing our mission of Ecological Transformation while fostering an inclusive workplace.
