Veolia delivers operational solutions across water, waste and energy that drive bottom-line savings, and optimal sustainability performance for our customers.
We are resourcing the world
As natural resources become scarcer, and we face growing challenges of urbanisation, consumerism and climate change, we need innovative models that support growth and sustainability.
Today, water, waste and energy can all be recovered. Our solutions transform what is discarded by some, into valuable resources for others.
We resource the world using Integrated Design. We plug in our integrated systems to operations like yours, to turn waste into energy, and wastewater into new water supplies. In this way, we are protecting and replenishing natural resources for people around the world.
We understand the issues facing your industry
In Australia and New Zealand, we have more than 40 years’ experience in water, waste and energy management. And we are the only integrated environmental solutions provider working across Heavy Industry, Commercial and Municipal sectors.
With our local knowledge and global expertise, we can help you overcome the challenges of your industry.
Veolia group is the global leader in optimized resource management. With nearly 179,000 employees worldwide, the Group designs and provides water, waste and energy management solutions which contribute to the sustainable development of communities and industries. Through its three complementary business activities, Veolia helps to develop access to resources, preserve available resources, and to replenish them.
In 2019, the Veolia group supplied 98 million people with drinking water and 67 million people with wastewater service, produced nearly 45 million megawatt-hours of energy and treated 50 million metric tons of waste. Veolia Environnement (listed on Paris Euronext: VIE) recorded consolidated revenue of €27.189 billion in 2019 (USD 29.9 billion).
To this end, the company designs and deploys specialist solutions to provide, protect and replenish resources while increasing their efficiency from an environmental, economic and social standpoint. Such initiatives are all part of Veolia's ongoing campaign to resource the world.
Our “One Veolia” management structure brings all our divisions into a single unit to streamline processes and improve efficiency and consistency.
Our dedicated senior managers ensure the smooth running of Veolia’s day-to-day operations – from resource allocation to developing new technologies, from goal setting to policy creation, and from employee retention to client management.

Understanding our brand
‘Veolia’ is derived from the name Aeolus, the ruler of winds in Greek mythology.
Our brand team wanted to enhance the reference to air. So they took the first letter of the French work for wind: ‘vent’. They then replaced ‘us’ at the end with ‘ia’, and our brand was born: Veolia.
What does our logo represent?
Our logo represents three elements: continuity, union, and protection.
The circle symbolises the unity of everyone in our company working together. It also references our planet and the fragility of its richness and equilibrium.
The ring represents the union between the individual and the community. It’s a symbol of how our employees work with each other, and with the wider community.
At the heart of our symbol is the representation of our people, with two arms coming together to enfold and protect.
