Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)

The ARC project is classified as a State Significant Development, which means it must go through a comprehensive assessment process, including the development of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

The purpose of an EIS is to assess the economic, environmental and social impacts of a project. It helps people to get a full understanding of the project and its impacts so that they can make informed decisions on its merits and potential impacts.

As part of the planning process the EIS is publicly exhibited so members of the community and interested organisations can look at the technical assessments in detail and provide their views on the proposal to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.

Public exhibition of the EIS will be between Wednesday 26 October and Tuesday 13 December 2022. To find out more, visit the link below.
