Doug Dean Named Member of the Order of Australia

In the Australian honours system, appointments to the Order of Australia bestow recognition for outstanding achievement and service in a particular locality or field of activity.

On January 26th, Veolia's very own Managing Director Doug Dean was named a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia. This title awarded due to his service to business and commerce through the development and provision of sustainable waste management and resource recovery solutions, as well as his many philanthropic associations; some of which include the Museum of Contemporary Arts, the Business Arts Foundation, the National Stroke Foundation’s Stroke of Art concept, as well as the RSPCA.

The order of Australia operates on the principles of freedom and independence from political support, and is the pre-eminent way for Australians to distinguish the achievements and service of their fellow citizens.

This is a monumental achievement to be recognised by industry and the community alike; and on behalf of Veolia Australia and New Zealand we congratulate Doug.
