Whyalla Waste and Resources Transfer Station to Open

Veolia invites members of the public to visit the site prior to its official opening in July

The Whyalla Waste and Resources Transfer Station will open to the public on Wednesday, 1st July, 2020. In anticipation of the opening, Veolia and Whyalla Council are inviting members of the public to partake in a number of small-group, 30 minute site visits prior to the facility’s opening.

Veolia has operated in Whyalla for over 20 years and it is an exciting development for the local community to gain access to this important waste management facility.

The guided tours will be open to groups of eight people for a duration of 30 minutes. In line with COVID-19 regulations, all members of the public will need to practise social distancing while in the new facility, and hygiene standards must be maintained.
