Greenacre Transfer Station, NSW

Greenacre Transfer Station

The Greenacre site is located on Anzac Road, Greenacre, NSW. The facility can process up to 200,000 tonnes of Non Putrescible General Solid Waste per annum.

It is possible to unload two vehicles at any one time with an average turn around of 7 minutes from the time the vehicle enters and exits the site.

This facility currently recover cardboard, plastics, timber, green waste, mattresses and steel. Veolia continue to develop techniques and technologies to improve the recovery rates at all our operating facilities. During 2009, Veolia recovered in excess of 9,500 tonnes of recyclable material from both the Greenacre and Port Botany transfer stations, further diverting waste from landfill.

All of the waste entering the site is delivered inside the building where recoverable resources are removed (manually and mechanically) from the waste material. Any residual material is then loaded into transfer trailers and transported to the Veolia Horsley Park Landfill.
