Major failures, special events and other unplanned works interrupt normal planned activities. When this occurs, it is necessary to defer the performance of scheduled maintenance. We use asset classifications to rank the importance of tasks and determine the response requirement (in conjunction with the customer).
What is Veolia’s methodology for energy asset management?
While this is always dependent on the customer, we usually follow the steps below:
- Identify customer requirements
- Set key results or goals based on these requirements
- Implement technical and management strategies to satisfy these goals
- Trend key performance indicators
- Benchmark the results.
Which maintenance programs are available for energy asset management?
Veolia offers a comprehensive asset management program, consisting of corrective and preventative maintenance as well as spare parts management. We also have mobile technologies to ensure all of our technicians are equipped with the relevant data to perform the works.
Our asset management solutions are designed to ensure the HVAC plant and other building services-related equipment are to the best of their ability achieving optimal technical, operational, environmental and financial performance over the short, medium and long-term. We generally implement compliance-based maintenance regimes in the first year, then transition into a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) regime for the subsequent years.
The asset data collection, condition survey, energy efficiency survey, and maintenance activities undertaken in the first year will support the development of the framework for the structure of the contract in subsequent years, creating significant value for the client.
After the first year, Veolia usually proposes a performance-based/shared-savings contract, so we can fix planned and corrective maintenance expenditure and set energy usage targets.
